Upon inspection of the device,
I noticed significant scuffs and scratches on the body of the device.
There is noticeable discoloration and peeling paint in various places on the device (see pictures #7-12).
The device shows noticeable signs of rust and cosmetic damage.
The bottom rear feet are missing (see picture #9).
All ports and connectors are in good cosmetic condition.
There are noticeable dead pixels in the Frequency display (see pictures #1-2 and #4).
I was able to power on the device.
I was able to adjust the Level Range knob and the adjust range indicator lights would flash.
I was able to adjust the Demodulator knob and I was able to test the internal speaker to be working by setting the knob to its max level.
I was able to adjust the Impedance, Selective, Center Pass Band, Cal Level, Meter Ref, Fine Tune and Frequency Range knobs but I did not see any changes in the displays when adjusting the knobs.
While testing, a capacitor popped on a board inside the device (see picture #6). As a result, if the device is powered on for a short period time, a burning smell will emanate from the device and there is the potential for the device to catch on fire. The capacitor needs to be repaired before powering the device on.
No further testing could be completed due to lack of knowledge and/or resources.
The device is sold as is for parts, repair or as a non-working item.
No battery or antenna are included.
