Frequently Asked Questions about the RG351V
Below is a list of questions we get most often about the Anbernic RG351V. As we receive more questions we will update the list accordingly.
What games will the Anbernic RG351V Play?
The Anbernic RG351V is excellent at emulating retro consoles, including the Sony PlayStation, Super NES, NES, Sega Genesis, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, Neo Geo and more. It can also emulate a ton of arcade games via MAME and Final Burn Alpha.
    Are any emulators pre-installed?
Yes. The RG351V comes with emulators installed for all of the systems listed above, plus others. Additional emulators can also be downloaded and updated via the WiFi connection.
    Are any games included?
A handful of open source games are included with the device. However, no ROMs are included (as to why that is, please see the next question). If you want to emulate retro console and arcade games, you’ll need to add the ROM’s for those on your own. Instructions on how to do so are included. If you need any assistance, feel free to get in contact with us.
How come you don’t include any ROMs? Other sellers of the RG351V advertise that thousands of retro games are pre-loaded on the device.
Simply put, it’s to protect our valued customers. Selling ROMs (a ROM is a backup copy of game software) is illegal in the US. If a seller chooses to break the law and sell ROMs, he is exposing himself to potential lawsuits from the publishers that own the copyrights to the software (Nintendo in particular has recently gotten highly aggressive in this regard). Any such lawsuit would also open the way for customers that bought from that seller to also be pursued via legal means. We do not want to put our customers or our business at risk, so no ROMs are included.
